Origami in the Classroom

Yesterday I was delighted to be invited into our Japanese language classroom. Ms. Junko prepared a lesson on the Japanese art of Origami. Origami is the art of paper folding. The sixth graders were working on their Japanese vocabulary as they made beautiful paper foldings. The brightly colored rabbits, mushrooms, egg plants, and persimmons were proudly displayed on their class bulletin board.

    Thank you for coming and taking photos. We always love to show the beauty and neatness of Japanese work.
    By the way, our bulletin board is now full of full-moon-viewing decorations. Please take a look. It is absolutely pretty.
