Wikispaces is offering a free Wiki page for all teachers.
What is a Wiki?
Think of a wiki as a webpage that you can make using a web browser such as Firefox. You don’t need to know any complicated HTML code. It’s as easy to make as a blog.
Teachers and students will find it easy, they will experience a short learning curve setting up and contributing to a Wiki.
You can store handouts, readings, videos, and more. This in itself will help your students gain access to your classroom from their home, or anywhere that they have an Internet connection.
How much does this powerful tool cost teachers?
It’s free.

Thank you for posting the information about making a Wiki. I have always been interested in doing this and in particular, taking advantage of the fact that it is free for teachers. Can my students create one too? My first impression is that it is easier to use than the web page I currently use and will serve the same if not more purposes!
