Bring Videos into your Classroom through your Computer.
With more classrooms being fitted with computers and projectors visual media is becoming more important than ever. The teacher understands that the subject demands a good visual. The visual in the form of a drawing, photo, graph, or chart is just the beginning.
Show them instead of telling them.
Students want to see videos and flash movies showing them what is expected of them or what the concept they are learning is all about. Well, there is a website that is just what the classroom ordered. It’s called United Streaming and comes from the Discovery Channel. The website boasts thousands of videos and video clips. The videos sometimes come with teacher plans to help teach the concept with the video. The videos are easily found by using a search on the site.
It’s free…for 30 days.
The site gives teachers with a valid email account a free 30 day trial. With the reviews so far I suggest that you sign-up today.

Providing alternate modes of learning is the key to successful teaching. In my education classes I have learned that different children learn in varies ways. That is why it is important to teach the material not only by mouth but by video, powerpoint, diagrams, etc. This way the students can fully understand what is expected of them and they can be excited about learning. It turns the classroom into a virtual learning environment.
